Flora is a motor passenger ship, which in summer is sailing on the waters of Holland facilitating biking tours. In the other months of the year the ship functions as “botel” accommodation in the city centre of Amsterdam located in the beautiful Oosterdok harbour next to the iconic Nemo museum. The accommodation is located at walking distance of the central station of Amsterdam and is therefore easily reached from Schiphol Airport or by public transport.

Berthus and Jonne are captain/sailor/cook/host of the Flora during biking tours in the summer months. During the “botel” period of the year are the host of the hotel. It’s their passion to facilitate their guests a pleasant stay and to meet new people. Furthermore, they are knowledgeable about the Netherlands and Amsterdam and can provide you with relevant recommendations.

The “botel” is located in the city centre of Amsterdam in the Oosterdok harbour. This is the harbour for the fleet of motor passenger ships and historic freight ships, next to the iconic science museum Nemo. Furthermore, the National Maritime Museum, the beautiful public library (with free view over the city from the top floor) and of course the city centre of Amsterdam at walking distance. The central station (at walking distance) offers a good starting point for exploring the city of Amsterdam by metro and tram. Close to the accommodation there are many opportunities for bars, restaurants, nightlife and all other beautiful things Amsterdam has to offer. Also, it is possible to cross the IJ river with the free ferry to north of Amsterdam to visit upcoming locations such as Plekk, Noorderlicht, NDSM (former shipyard) and the IJ-hallen (with the largest flee market of Europe every month).
